how you can help

helping us help you

There are a number of ways that a person can contribute to Conservation Youth Corps either financially or through the giving of time and effort.  Below are a few examples, please follow the links here or contact Sharlene Hardwar, Partnership Development Coordinator, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation at 905 670-1615  Ext.418 OR shardwar@creditvalleyca.ca.

“Plant a Tree with CYC”

Each year CYC volunteers plant 10,000 native trees and shrubs; you can help us with that goal by purchasing one or more trees on our behalf.

  • $20 for 1 tree
  • $100 for 5 trees
  • $200 for 10 trees
  • $500 for 25 trees
  • $1000 for 50 trees

“Canoe the Credit”

Each year paddlers collect pledges and paddle down the Credit in the name of conservation and environmental experience for youth.  Whether you’re interested in paddling, sponsoring a paddler, volunteering, or supporting the event in some other way your contributions will greatly appreciated and go along way to helping in our cause.

“Conservation Gala”

This annual event is a great deal of fun and raises money for conservation efforts important to us all.  Tickets can be purchased or prizes for live and silent auctions donated.

For more information on these opportunities and how to become involved please visit www.creditvalleyca.ca/foundation or contact Sharlene Hardwar, Partnership Development Coordinator, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation at 905 670-1615  Ext.418 OR shardwar@creditvalleyca.ca.

“The symbolism – and the substantive significance – of planting a tree has universal power in every culture and every society on Earth; and it is a way for individual men, women and children to participate in creating solutions for the environmental crisis.”

Al Gore, 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Winner
