our sincere thanks to all those who have supported CYC

How CYC is Funded?

CYC is generously supported by the Region of Peel and a variety of others through the efforts of the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation.  Many of our supporters have been with us since the very beginning in 2007 and have played critical roles in the development of this program.  We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all those who have supported CYC in the past and continue to do so.  We will continue to make this program one that is valued by participants and the community, relevant to the times and the issues, and available to as many as possible.

The Region of Peel

The Region of Peel plays a major role in supporting CYC and other CVC programs and initiatives that benefit watershed area residents.  The support provided has been effectively leveraged to meet the needs of the program’s budget and allowed for its growth and further development into a program that adds to the ecological skills and literacy of our youth.

Credit Valley Conservation Foundation

Since 1964 the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation has been raising money for projects undertaken by Credit Valley Conservation. CVC is a community-based environmental organization originally formed by an Act of provincial government and has been dedicated to conserving, restoring, developing and managing the natural resources of the Credit River Watershed for over 50 years.
Members and donors to the CVC Foundation firmly believe that our personal health, economic well-being and quality of life are inextricably linked to the health of our natural environment.   We also believe that the Credit River Watershed is an incredible place to live, work and play and we want it to stay this way.

“The symbolism – and the substantive significance – of planting a tree has universal power in every culture and every society on Earth; and it is a way for individual men, women and children to participate in creating solutions for the environmental crisis.”
