Fishing Rod rentals are available at Island Lake and Terra Cotta Conservation Area and Ken Whillans Resource Management Area from spring to fall. Ice fishing rods available at Island Lake Conservation Area only.
Spring to Fall
6 foot fishing rod equipped with spinning reel, 8lb test fishing line with hook and box of assorted tackle. Available for $10 per day.*
* $20 deposit required, refundable with return of all equipment in good condition
Tackle Share Program
The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters support the Tackle Share Program at Island Lake Conservation Area. This program allows children, 12 and under, to use a fishing rod at no charge. Available on a first come – first serve basis.
Equipment included:
- Various rod lengths
- Spinning reel
- Line and a small selection of tackle
Winter
28 inch ice fishing rod equipped with spinning reel, 8lb test fishing line, steel leader, hook and weight. Available for $6.50 per day.*
*$20 deposit required, refundable with return of all equipment in good condition
