Picnics & BBQs

Whether it’s a large corporate function or small family gathering, get everyone together at a Conservation Area near you. Groups of 20 or more are recommended to inquire about reservations at 1-800-367-0890 or recreation@creditvalleyca.ca.
Picnic Options
Additional items can be added to you reservation to make your event more convenient. BBQ’s can be rented without a picnic reservation, subject to availability.
- Propane BBQ rental – $45 daily
Propane and utensils are included - Large Charcoal BBG – $35 daily
7lbs of charcoal and utensils are included. Stationary and available at Island Lake and Terra Cotta pavilion areas. - Small Charcoal BBQ
4 sq. foot grill, 5lbs of charcoal and utensils are included.
Island Lake Conservation Area
This is a large area with many picnic tables spread throughout for intimate family get togethers. Larger groups from 20 to 300 can be accommodated, please call 1 800 367 0890 for reservations and information. Seven areas are available for reservation.
- Area #1: $50
A very large open field outlined with mature trees and close to trails, parking and washrooms. Suitable for sports and large picnics. Limited shade, tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for any size group; 20 to 300. - Area #2: $100
A 24ft by 50ft enclosed pavilion, with running water and hydro, located on a large grassed area dappled with mature oak trees. Parking, washrooms, volleyball, trails close by and a short 3 minute walk to the wading beach. Tables placed to suit group needs, pavilion holds 75 seated, while the area can hold up to 200 guests. - Area #3: $50
A grass covered area spotted with mature trees, partly shaded. Located close to parking, washrooms, volleyball and trails, the wading beach is a short 5 minute walk. Tables placed to suit group needs, appropriate for up to 50 people. - Area #4: $50
A grass covered area spotted with mature trees, partly shaded. Located close to parking, washrooms, volleyball and trails, the wading beach is a short 5 minute walk. Tables placed to suit group needs, appropriate for up to 50 people. - Area #5: $50
A grass covered area shaded with large spruce trees. Located very close to parking, washrooms, and trails, the wading beach is a short 5 minute walk. Tables placed to suit group needs, appropriate for up to 30 people. - Area #6: $50
A large open field bordering a hardwood forest. Very private and close to trails, parking and washrooms. Suitable for sports and large picnics. Limited shade, tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for; 20 to 100 guests. - Area #7: $75
A flat grassy area, located on the waterfront at the wading beach. Washrooms, parking and trails nearby. The area is partly shaded by a line of mature trees along the shore. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 50 guests.
Belfountain Conservation Area
This Conservation Area is a small property located in the village of Belfountain, with the Credit River running through it. Parking is a limiting factor, carpooling is recommended. Groups from 20 to 150 can be accommodated, please call 1 800 367 0890 for reservations and information. Four areas are available for reservation.
- Area #1: $50
A small shaded area located next to the Credit River and perennial flower garden. Close to the entrance of the area and a 5 minute walk to washrooms, parking and attractions. Water tap close by. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 30 guests. - Area #2: $50
An open grassy area located next to the Credit River, partially shaded by large spruce trees. 5 minute walk to washrooms, parking and attractions. Water tap onsite. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 75 guests. - Area #3: $50
An open grassy area located next to the Credit River, partially shaded by large spruce trees and hosta gardens. 3 minute walk to washrooms, parking and attractions. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 75 guests. - Area #4: $50
A slightly sloped, shaded area, located next to parking and close to washrooms. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 50 guests.
Terra Cotta Conservation Area
This large Conservation Area has areas suitable for 20 to 400 guests. Picnic tables are available for families through out the area. 5 areas are available for reservation, including 3 pavilions. Please call 1 800 367 0890 for reservations and information.
- Area #1: $75
Open grassy area with a 40ft by 65ft open pavilion. Limited shade available, other than the pavilion. Located near Visitors Welcome Centre, washrooms, parking and trails. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 200 seated inside, 400 guests on site. - Area #2: $50
Small pavilion, 25ft by 30ft, located off Terra Cotta Lane and surrounded by trees. This area is located on trails, 5 cars permitted onsite, with escort. Washrooms are 20 minute walk. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 30 seated inside. - Area#3: $50
Small pavilion, 25ft by 50ft, located off the Vaughn Trail and Service Road with grassy area adjacent for games or sports. This area is located on trails, 5 cars permitted onsite, with escort. Washrooms are 20 minute walk. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 60 seated inside, 100 onsite. - Area #4: $50
Open grassy area, limited shade, close to washrooms, Visitors Welcome Centre, parking and trails. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 100 guests. - Area #5: $50
Grassy area, shaded by mature trees. Located close to washrooms, Visitors Welcome Centre, parking and trails. Tables placed to suit group needs, suitable for up to 30 guests.
Meadowvale Conservation Area
This area is divided into two sections. Picnic areas are accessible from 1080 Derry West Road. The City of Mississauga manages and reserves sites at this area. Groups in excess of 25 are required to obtain a park permit. Obtaining a picnic permit ensures exclusive use if that area and its amenities. Please call 311 within Mississauga and 905-615-4311 from elsewhere.
