Island Lake Rentals: Ice Fishing

Ice Fishing Hut Rental Fees

Low Lake Levels Impact Ice Fishing Program

Due to low precipitation during 2016 the lake level continues to be lower than normal for this time of year. This will impact the winter ice fishing program in the following ways:

  • heated ice hut rentals will not be available due to the concerns of visitors having a poor fishing experience
  • open ice fishing and personal huts will be permitted daily pending ice conditions
  • live bait and hole auguring will continue to be available onsite
  • the Ice Fishing Derby will be shortened to three days (February 18-20)
  • the ice fishing program will open when safe conditions permit (typically the beginning of January)

Please call 1.800.367.0890 or email with any questions.
