7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Watershed Learning Centre, Terra Cotta Conservation Area, Halton Hills (View Map)

Did you know: bats are great at pest control, eating thousands of insects every night.  Are you interested in learning more about bats and making a bat house?

Build a bat box for a better backyard! Attend this one hour workshop co-sponsored by CVC and the Caledon Horticultural Society.  Pat Kelly, bat enthusiast, will give a brief introduction to bats followed by the workshop. House kits (made from recycled materials) and a limited amount of tools will be provided.  Participants could bring a hammer and a (power) screwdriver with a Robertson #2 bit to speed up the assembly. (Extra bits will be available).

Pre-registration is required.
