Check Your Watershed Day

Saturday, July 21, 2012

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Terra Cotta Conservation Area, Halton Hills (View Map)

Check Your Watershed Day is an annual, one-day event where you can get your feet wet and learn first-hand about your watershed.

On Saturday, July 21,  help Credit Valley Conservation staff survey streams in the upper Credit River Watershed. We will be checking water temperatures and taking photos of culverts. The data collected on this day will form an important “snap-shot” of the health of the Credit River. Bring your family and friends or meet new people by joining a Stream Team.
Space is limited to 75 participants, so be sure to register.

Under 18? If you are between 14 and 17, and not coming with your parent(s), please have them read and sign the Youth Volunteer Waiver.  Please bring the signed portion to the event in order to participate.

Please Note: registration and training will take place at Terra Cotta Conservation Area, before teams head out into the upper watershed.
