FALL COLOURS PROGRESSION UPDATE

The percentage values listed below indicate the amount of colour showing at each Conservation Area. Please note Belfountain is very busy on weekends and it recommended to visit on weekdays if possible.

CONDITIONS AT A GLANCE

Island Lake Conservation Area Open daily: New fall hours have begun: 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Boat rentals, picnic areas,  walking trails, and water access are available. Yellow Perch, Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike open for fishing.
       ~  Lakeside Trail   The Trails are in good condition however after heavy rain take caution for washouts.
Terra Cotta Conservation Area Open daily 8am-7pm. Self-serve fee station or display valid membership on your dashboard applies during the week, gatehouse open on weekends. Washrooms open daily.
Belfountain Conservation Area Open daily 8am-7pm. Please see below for updates to our picnicking policy. The fountain will be turned off from Tuesday, September 12th until Thursday, September 14th for cleaning and maintenance.
Ken Whillans Conservation Area Open: Mon – Fri daylight hours only, $5 self serve fee, no services or water access  permitted. Weekends and Holidays open for full service and water access 7am-8pm.

Island Lake Conservation Area

Fall hours for Island Lake CA have begun: 8:00a.m. – 7:00p.m every day. NEW: online equipment rentals available at https://store.creditvalleyca.ca/conservation-area-equipment-rentals/. Walking trails, picnic areas, and water access are currently available.  Trail access parking areas are listed here: www.creditvalleyca.ca/VBLT. Picnic bookings are available at www.picnics.ca 

Terra Cotta Conservation Area

Terra Cotta Conservation Area is open daily from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, please pay the self-serve fee or display a valid membership on your dashboard. The gatehouse is staffed on weekends. The Visitor’s Welcome Centre is open for washrooms only. Picnic bookings are available at www.picnics.ca . COMING SOON: Our second Annual Fall Festival is happening Oct 7, 14, 21 and 28th from 11am-5pm. More information coming this week.

Belfountain Conservation Area

PLEASE NOTEA new picnic policy is being initiated at Belfountain Conservation Area. Day camping is no longer permitted and all 10 picnic tables now have a 30 minute maximum to ensure that all visitors have access to resting areas if needed. We suggest visiting Island Lake CA or Terra Cotta CA if you are interested in picnicking for periods longer than 30 minutes.

Belfountain Conservation Area is open daily from 8:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. A parking fee of $10.00 per vehicle applies on weekends only. Please join us throughout the summer for our Health and Wellness series provided by Humans in Nature, Inc.: https://www.eventbrite.ca/o/humans-in-nature-11447121843

 Ken Whillans Resource Management Area

Ken Whillans is open during daylight hours only for a $5 self serve fee Monday -Friday with no services or water access permitted. All services will be and water access will be available on weekends and holidays from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. until October 22nd.

GENERAL TRAIL USE

If parts of the trail system are closed, please respect and obey all posted signs. For park updates and closures due to weather and trail conditions, CVC’s corporate website at www.creditvalleyca.ca will display a red headline box at the top of all pages.
