Rising to the Challenge: Teacher Workshop
Invite Credit Valley Conservation’s Supervisor of Education to your school to learn more about the Credit River Watershed and what teachers and students can do to protect it.
Through a short presentation, group activity, and discussion, Rising to the Challenge provides an in-depth look at the unique aspects of our own Credit River Watershed and the potential for teachers and students to get involved in watershed stewardship. Rising to the Challenge is appropriate for staff meetings, department meetings, or an after-school drop-in program for teachers who have an interest in learning more about the local environment, and how issues like development and climate change affect us close to home. The presentation can be tailored for audiences who may be relatively new to watershed protection issues, or those who are already involved in environmental issues.
Workshop length: 30 minutes, plus discussion and Q&A.
A selection of Credit Valley Conservation resources and posters will also be available for all participants.
Contact: Andrew at akett@creditvalleyca.ca to book a workshop.
