Shoreline
CVC’s jurisdiction includes the Credit River Watershed, and associated watersheds draining directly into Lake Ontario (from Applewood Creek in Mississauga to Clearview Creek in Oakville), approximately 15 kilometers of the Lake Ontario’s shoreline and an area extending 6 km into the Lake.
CVC is concerned with the following hazards occuring along the Lake Ontario Shoreline:
- Lake Ontario Erosion Hazards;
- Lake Ontario Flood Hazards (including wave uprush and other water related hazards); and
- Lake Ontario Dynamic Beach Hazards.
