Pollution Prevention Checklist
You can perform your own "Pollution Prevention Investigation (PPI)" to evaluate the potential of your commercial and/or industrial site contributing contaminated runoff to the storm drain system or directly to receiving waters. Fact sheets that look specifically at vehicle operations, outdoor materials storage, waste management, building conditions, turf and landscaping, and stormwater infrastructure to evaluate potential pollution sources are posted on this website. Based on observations at the site, the PPI can help determine the potential pollution severity of your site. The overall pollution potential for each site can be assessed based on observed sources of pollution and the potential of the site to generate pollutants that would likely enter the storm drain network.
