Alton Grange
The Alton Forest is located adjacent to the Town of Alton. It is owned by the Ministry of Natural Resources and is managed by the Alton Grange Association, a volunteer-based organization. The Alton Forest is a significant natural heritage feature located along the banks of the Credit River. It is one of the few remaining areas along the Upper Credit with large, intact riparian wetlands.
CVC is currently directing surveys within the property with a view to developing an invasive species management plan with the Association for Alton Forest in 2012.
