Energy Conservation

Increasing energy costs means that the average homeowner will have to pay more to be comfortable.  The world’s demand for energy is pushing the cost of energy higher and increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases. Small changes can have a cumulative effect in protecting your pocketbook and the environment. By selecting an alternative, renewable energy source, landowners can cut their energy costs, lessen their impact on the environment, and independently manage their energy consumption.

Programs and incentives are available to help offset some of the costs of these increasingly efficient technologies. For information on solar, wind, geothermal and other alternative energy sources, including information on incentives and provincial standards, visit the Ministry of Energy’s website or The Canadian Solar Industries Association’s website.
