Septic Systems

In rural areas people commonly use a septic system to treat household wastewater – all water that flows down your drains eventually ends up there. Septic systems must be able to safely handle household wastewater to prevent contamination of ground and surface water.
Landowners can benefit from familiarizing themselves with the operation and location of their septic system as well as current maintenance and building code regulations. Funding and incentive programs for septic systems are very limited. Septic system failure can be extremely inconvenient, very expensive, and in many cases is avoidable with proper maintenance.
