New regulations and higher standards may mean that your septic system needs to be repaired, upgraded or in some cases, replaced. Landowners should review all rules and regulations before constructing a new septic system, and have licensed septic designers/installers do the work.
It is important to have a septic system that meets the needs of your family. If your septic system has to handle too much wastewater, it will not be as effective as it could be, and may cause premature failure. Septic system failure can be extremely inconvenient and expensive.
If you wish to obtain further information or to apply for a permit to undertake a project on your property, please contact our planning department. Please note that a permit from CVC does not replace building permits or any other permits issued through municipal offices or from other agencies. It is recommended that you contact your local municipality for information on additional approvals that may be required.
