Funding and Technical Assistance

Research has shown that the adoption of agri-environmental beneficial management projects such as manure storage and tree planting improves the quality of water, air, soil and biodiversity. To help encourage the implementation of agri-environmental projects, Credit Valley Conservation offers a Rural Water Quality Program, which provides financial and technical assistance. Rural Water Quality Program funding can be combined with additional funding sources such as the Canada-Ontario Farm Stewardship Program Funding.
As a first step to identifying environmental threats and potential agri-environmental projects on your property, all farmers are encouraged to complete an Environmental Farm Plan. For more information on how to complete an Environmental Farm Plan or how to apply to the Canada Ontario Farm Stewardship Program please use the quick links section of this page.
