Halton Agricultural Program

Agricultural landowners in Halton are encouraged to complete an Environmental Farm Plan for their operation. Farm properties that have completed an Environmental Farm Plan are eligible to apply to the Canada-Ontario Farm Stewardship Program for funding to assist with the implementation of various agri-environmental improvement projects. For details on how to complete an Environmental Farm Plan and apply to the Canada-Ontario Farm Stewardship Program, follow the quick links on this page.
In addition to the funding offered through the Canada-Ontario Farm Stewardship Program, funding is available through the following programs to assist you with your tree planting and well decommissioning projects:
Credit Valley Conservation’s Tree Planting Funding Program – up to 75% funding
Halton Region Residential Well Decommissioning Grant – 50% funding up to $1,000
Credit Valley Conservation has staff available to assist you with the planning of your agri-environmental improvement project. Assistance with project design and sourcing funding is available.
